12. AI Assistant Connectors

You can use EvidenceMD inside AI assistants such as Claude, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor through our connector at https://evidencemd.ai/mcp, which uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP). When you connect it:

You sign in with your EvidenceMD account. The assistant receives a sign-in token, never your password.
We receive only what the assistant sends to the EvidenceMD tool: your question and, if provided, a specialty and a response language. We do not receive the rest of your conversation, your files, or the assistant's memory.
We use your question, together with the country in your EvidenceMD profile, to produce the answer, and our AI processing providers process it for that purpose.
Each question and its answer are saved to your EvidenceMD history as a chat and count toward your plan, just as questions asked on evidencemd.ai do. They are retained for as long as your account exists, under the Data Retention section above, and you can request their deletion or delete your account at any time.
You can disconnect EvidenceMD in the assistant's connector settings at any time to stop it sending questions to us.

Please do not include patient names, record numbers, dates of birth or other identifiers in questions. What you type into the assistant itself is governed by that assistant provider's own terms and privacy policy.
